A Little Bit About Me
I fell in love with a Muslim man from Guinee, West Africa. When we became engaged to be married, I stared to read Quran. Before this time i, not unlike many Americans dramatically impacted by September 11th, saw Islam as a religion of hate. before i completed reading Al Fathah, I know it was the truth and i converted. Islam consumed my entire being. i spent my days in study, watching lectures, research and reading Quran, i am very proud to say that i can recite Al Fathah, in arabic, by memory and i had no teacher but Allah.
At the same time, the man i loved, was busy discovering life in America. He made the choice to leave behind his culture, his religion and embrace the Americans- Do what feels good culture. he became lost in that life and i had no choice but walk away.
Now I find myself in a great dilemma, I live in a community with little to no Muslims, so how is one to find a Muslim husband? The other options go back into my culture and loose my religion. so as a last attempt to secure my Islam i turn to the web and open up the world.

I am looking for a man who knows the line between obedience and oppression and never crosses it. A strong man who can be patient and gentle; a teacher, a student, a friend and a husband. A man who strives to have Allah, pleased with him, while knowing that he is only human and will make mistakes. I need a man that will love me in kindness and mercy. I need him to take care of me, protect me from harm while still allowing me room to breathe. i need a partner to help my learn how live my life Islamically in a culture that does not accept it.
